Work in Process/ WIP is a r+d lab: experimenting with materials and strategies for creating artefacts for the namesake brand WIP. The objects, products, services, clothing... sold help sustain the work of the lab.

 

To proliferate design culture, quality objects and conscious aesthetics, WIP seeks to unravel and capture interest by the iterative process of creativity. As the success of design lies in the ability to fulfil what it was intended for, WIP asks: What inspires form?  How do things work? How does design affect people and environment? Is it improving the experience in focus? 

 

To make design a common tool for basic use in work and problem-solving, the lab synergizes aspects of production, education, practice and enterprise for design and making. In enhancing the spaces and communities that devise realities, design consciousness is pivotal, as designs sways on the physical, emotional and mental faculties of consumers.WIP schedules aim to make programming on ideas and process more accessible,  conversing on the thinking, expression and development that facilitates design-thinking. The behind-the-scenes approach brings the process closer, rousing interest into art, design and craftsmanship.
